Diabetes OR Sugar Disease

It is disease related to sugar. 

There are 3 type of Diabetes –

1.    Type 1 diabetes – Insulin Dependent  

2.    Type 2 diabetes – Insulin Independent

3.    Gestational diabetes – It occurs during pregnancy due to insulin-blocking hormones produced during pregnancy

When we ingest food it has to be metabolized. Metabolism plays an important role when it comes to health.  Food which we are eating has to be broken down to release its energy. Metabolism involves 2 processes that are catabolism and anabolism. Catabolism is breakdown of molecule to release energy and anabolism refers to synthesis of compounds needed by cells.  

If you are suffering from diabetes following mechanism takes places.

Type 1diabetes – Insulin Dependent – In this case our immune system destroys beta cells in pancreas which produce insulin. So, patient has to take insulin by external source.

Type 2 diabetes – Insulin Independent - Pancreas the organ in our body it release insulin which convert food into glucose and distribute to cells in our body. But if you are suffering from diabetes this glucose is not distributed to cell and it gets buildup in blood stream. Hence, amount of glucose or sugar get increased in body.

Symptoms of diabetes –

-        Increase hunger

-        Feeling thirsty

-        Uncontrolled Weight

-        Altered vision

-        Fatigue

 Precautionary Measures – 

-        Regular work out

-        Say no to sugar

-        Drink Water.

-        Lose Weight (if Overweight or Obese).

-        No Smoking.

-        Control on diet
